About Our Project
This research group is supported by the Russian Scientific Foundation, project № 22-18-00383 “Methodological design of extended evolutionary synthesis” at the Institute of Scientific Information on Social Sciences of the Russian Academy of Sciences.
Among diverse scientific fields focused on evolutionary approaches to vari- ety of objects and processes, we will be interested in those where Darwinian princi- pals of variation, heredity and selection take place. Among the areas we concentrate our attention on those ones, where the evolving objects could be presented as the sequences of symbols, code lines, or even as a graph. These formal objects are the way to record the «individuals» heredity. It allows to mutate it by substituting, add- ing, or eliminating elements and to make crossover when offspring is produced from two parents. One more demand is the possibility to evaluate quantitatively the given individual’s value for the evolutionary selection. Among the evolutions we will consider, first of all, Evolutionary Computations, computer simulation of bio- logical evolution, directed (in vitro) evolution of biological macromolecules, bio- logical evolution, technical evolution, and evolution of memes.
